Twiveaway promotions!

Posted by orackel

I was thinking of how to promote my blog on social networks. One thing is to blog about recent trends prevailing on twitter and digg. If you give what people want then only you're going to be successful. It is a simple and decent philosophy. You know I have been researching on free marketing for the past 3 years. Ways on how to market yourself online for free. It is quite simple but still quite difficult.

Practically sites which come up on search engine results get more sales than those advertised over there. Its a matter of the mind or atleast my mind. Its like when someone is paying and giving ads and promoting , it doesn't  look legitimate. But the truth is most Internet marketing gurus teach you about Adwords and related stuff more than SEO. For me SEO was and used to be always difficult for i was interested in "free marketing". Its kind of trying to get to the VIP seat without paying for it. It was these kind of things that led me to actually think of marketing my blog on social websites. They are easier to target than the whole search engine space.
Its personal and emotions can be attached and better customer relationships can be built.
For building customer relationships or followers or fans whatever you call it on twitter I haven't found a better way than free giveaways or twiveaways.

http://www.twiveaway.com

Its  a free site and is used by the most successful marketers online. The concept is awesome. You give people a free giveaway gift when they tweet your message. There are 2 types in them . One is where everyone gets a free gift like an ebook.etc. and the other is that the gift is earned by the person who tweets your message the most. If you are into twitter marketing you might be bored by now. ma bad. But see i was thinking about these twiveaways and i was thinking whether we could take it to another level.

Your free twiveaway gift URL is sent to the recepient in a direct message ie no one else can see it. I was thinking if we could integrate these two campaigns together and come up smething even more better. A campaign where anyone who tweets gets a free gift and the person who tweeets the most gets a bumper prize. I mean something really cool  like a shopping coupon from amazon etc. rather than a big ebook.

These type of promos actually can work on blogs  where product reviews are offered. You can ask people to write a testimony in your blog and then ask them tweet . They get a complimentary free gift and for promoting more they can get a bumper prize like digicams , ps3's , xbox's etc or even shopping coupons. You an take it to a new level and I would like to see people use  these kind of promos.

Please feel free to comment on drawbacks or improvements.

Social Media Explosion!

Posted by orackel

Social Networks , wow. The most successful marketers have only these words in their minds . It i s obvious!  For you get all the benefits free! No problems , No money ,No effort!  Just tailor made for Internet marketers.

Social Networks started getting the buzz after the launch of Facebook and blogging sites. Facebook was the real catalyst for its explosive growth.  As soon as its true potential was discovered more giants like Google came into the field .

Today now we stand in the Twitter age where everything from gossip to politics is discussed with tweets.

One of the main advantages of such Social Networks is that it is easier to discover trends. As a marketer this becomes essential . It becomes absolutely critical to identify new niches and also get to know the latest in your niche ( make hay when the sun shines ). You know what , in all these years of Internet marketing research . i have just found out one and only one thing that matters the most, not traffic , not ranking , not SEO , not even money , it is timing. Its all about being the first or one of the firsts in your niche. I think almost all of you might have heard about affiliate programs . Ever wonder why you never made a substantial amount from it ?
Its just because there more sites than you think which are promoting affiliate product.
Think of a million shops out there . What is the probability that you can actually get a customer to come to your shop? I think zero or somewhere close.

You know what the traditional marketing method are becoming obsolete. Marketers are trying to find out new and cheaper ways to promote than Adwords and SEO. Now it is the time of  the Social Networks to take over the marketing arena. If you start now when the concept is just blooming and almost fresh , you can get some money. Any late , you'll  end up with the same old result which I think you'll never want again.
